Pearl’s exciting features include a  sound and lighting capability that have been upgraded to a $250,000 system replete with six plasma screens. 100 speakers and two DJ stations (including a main, elevated booth boasting a studio-quality, 24-track recording board), Pearl will also offer patrons an innovation that Steve Marlton pioneered in Portland. On nights that a live band is not playing, its performance stage will showcase erotic dancers writhing inside translucent "shadowboxes." The venue's other key attractions...a restaurant with inspired Asian influenced cuisine, a plush VIP room with suede booths and motorized curtains, two outdoor patios, and an accessible yet foliage-shrouded location in West Hollywood. All of these should go a long way toward establishing Marlton's reputation, one thousand miles south of his hometown.

The brainchild of Portland entrepreneur Steve Marlton and partners Pat Marlton, Clark and Rob Goodman, and Bill Houston, the newly renovated, 7,500 square foot venue, looks to import a few innovations from Marlton’s former Northwest ventures, including those focused on the club experience.
